2 photos in 2 exhibitions. Private views on the same evening!

I should count my blessings, its a great problem to have, to be selected for two exhibitions at the same time. They are both for London Photo Month and being exhibited with lots of other photos. Shutterhub has my photo of a wrapped up carousel and LIP is showing my new photo about my father and Slovenia, called forgiveness. I’ll be going to both private views of course!

More good news regarding my artworks

Its just been confirmed that the funding has been awarded to Fertility Fest for next year. Well done to Jessica Hepburn!  This means that I will definitely be doing a workshop with The National Theatre – week commencing 26th February 2018, and also a talk in London about my work on May 12th 2018, for Fertility Fest. I’m delighted!  I will have to finish my photo album of “Photos I’ll never take” and possibly also my romance books video. Its good to have a deadline. We will be planning the workshop over the next couple of weeks, so I’ll know more about that soon. M&B003coverweb

Private view photo

Posting a photo from the private view at Photofusion on Thursday night. It was packed, but luckily my photo was at the top, near the ceiling, so could be seen no matter what. My friends, Suzie and Robert, are kindly pointing it out, pretending that its causing a sensation! Really enjoyed the whole evening and went for a meal afterwards. It was also the seven year anniversary of Barry and me meeting (6th December.)  We met at the Hayward Gallery at a Christmas private view, so it was quite fitting to be at a private view with one of my photos on the wall. Had a couple of people come up to me and ask if it was my photo.  Apparently, I look a bit like Meryl Streep in the photo.

Balloon dogs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptkGhpELX4Y&feature=plcp

Saw these wonderful balloon dogs behaving like they were real. This isn’t, of course, strictly: “photos I’ll never take”, as I took them just because I liked them. However, I may have been influenced by the project as I do find childish things more interesting now.
